AFP was formed in New York City in 1960, and in 1963 the association held its first conference in Suffern, New York. In Baltimore we will honor 50 years of working to advance the profession while celebrating fundraising’s bright future and its impact on people and societies around the world. Fundraisers from more than 20 countries will continue the work and spirit of our founders by examining best practices, discussing new ideas and trends and sharing experiences to improve ourselves and our organizations.
